Putting Cats on Classic Album Covers Is Genius

Yes, that’s right – there have been many iconic, classic album covers that have been redone to include cats in them. What could be better? After all, many people love the original artwork, just as numerous people love felines. You are going to want to have a look at these, for sure.

Motorhead – Ace of Spayeds (originally “Ace of Spades”)

Don’t you just love the witty wordplay there? This is one rock ‘n roll style cover, complete with black cats that are adorned with the same accessories and props which the band had in the original.

Billy Joel – The Scratcher (originally “The Stranger”)

You will absolutely love this pensive looking tabby kitten on the Billy Joel “The Stranger” cover. Staring wistfully at a cat…something?, we can truly feel kitty’s emotions coming through.

Heart – Dreamboat Kittie (originally “Dreamboat Annie”)

Two cats with a really ‘70s airbrushed look adorn the cover of “Dreamboat Kittie”, modeled after the “Dreamboat Annie” cover. They are incredibly sweet and romantic looking – for cats.

These cats sure look tough! This album cover was MADE to include kitties. After all, what could be more fierce than furry felines?

The B-52’s – The K-52’s (originally “The B-52’s”)

These cats are stylin’ and fun with their beehive hairdos and huge black sunglasses. Who would have thought that this band’s album could get any groovier?

David Bowie & Bing Crosby – Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy

These cats are just too cool for the holiday party. They may be kitties, but they take on that distinct star quality that these two men had. It makes for a beautiful tribute to the duo.

The Village People – Macho Cat (originally “Macho Man”)

You’ve gotta love The Village People. They really made it happenin’ to wear costumes for all of their performances and videos. The album cover for “Macho Man” has been brought to life in a new way with the addition of these cats dressed in the same fashions as the men wore in the original cover.

Misfits – Legacy of Brutality

It’s so fun to see a horror movie style cat on this cover! Who would have known that this already great yet simple album cover could shine even more.

Legend: The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers

The cat on this cover looks so serious and sweet, you can’t help but find the orange tabby to be incredibly endearing. It kind of makes you wonder what the cat version of Bob Marley would be like… probably much like this young yet wise kitty.
